Analysis of a single species with diffusion in a polluted environment

Jing Wang, Ke Wang

Abstract:
In this paper, the effect of diffusion on the permanence and extinction in the polluted environment is studied by a single population diffusive system in two patches. Assume that the two patches are a protective patch and a non-protective patch. We examine the effects of protective patch and conclude that it is effective for the conservation of a population facing polluted environment. The conditions for the permanence and extinction of the population are obtained.
