Fernandes (The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi, UAE) Abstract: In this paper we consider two optimization problems related to the principal eigenvalue of the one dimensional Schrodinger operator. These optimization problems are formulated relative to the rearrangement of a fixed function.
