On a problem of shallow water type

Abstract:
In this paper we present an existence theorem for a problem of shallow water kind. We take into account a general friction term depending on water depth and the norm of velocity, which is the main difficulty. We present also a numerical study in the case which we consider the above problem as a perturbation of shallow water equations in the non conservative dept-mean velocity form.
