Strong solutions to density-dependent incompressible smectic-A liquid crystal equations

Abstract:
In this article we study a density-dependent hydrodynamic system that models smectic-A liquid crystal flow. We establish the existence and uniqueness of local strong solutions provided that the initial density function has a positive lower bound.
